Transition Academy Mobile Cooking Unit

This grant is for a Transition Academy program and funds an in-class, mobile instructional kitchen using adaptive cookware, tabletop appliances, and secure storage solutions. The setup allows students to learn and practice realistic home-based cooking routines such as preparing breakfast, making lunch, storing food, cleaning up, and using appliances safely. This project aims to significantly improve students’ ability to live and work more independently by bringing into the classroom adaptive cooking tools and small appliances.
