Teaching Executive Skills

Two Mamaroneck Avenue School faculty members participate in a three-day, neuroscience-based professional development conference focused on executive functioning, attention, memory, and emotional regulation. The training supports the implementation of brain-informed instructional strategies in a 5th-grade humanities classroom, particularly benefiting students with ADHD and other executive functioning challenges. The attendees share their learning with colleagues to promote consistency across classrooms, with the goal of embedding these new strategies into daily routines.
