Bilingual Museum Night Glow Up

The Dos Caminos team’s annual Bilingual Museum Night is a cross-curricular event in which students create bilingual exhibits exploring the theme of democracy. With the funding of new portable display materials, the event benefits from a more visually engaging museum environment. Display areas expand into the auditorium, atrium, and surrounding hallways, and incorporate new cross-curricular components spanning Social Studies, World Language, and Dual Language Arts. The improved space allows students to share research, writing, and artistic work with their bilingual community audience, deepening civic understanding and bilingual literacy while strengthening community engagement with the school’s Dual Language program. The display boards may also be used throughout the Hommocks building for a variety of other projects.
