3D Printers for Earth and Space Science Models

This grant funds the purchase of four Bambu Lab P2S 3D printers for the Earth and Space Science program at Hommocks Middle School. As the program transitions to a new, standards-aligned curriculum with an increased emphasis on modeling and spatial reasoning, the printers will allow students to create hands-on, three-dimensional representations of key scientific concepts — from plate tectonics to orbital motion — that are difficult to convey through traditional instruction alone. The printers will serve Hommocks students and staff as an enduring resource for inquiry-based STEM learning.
